[WSBAPT] Registration of trust

Hello listmates:

If a married couple with no beneficiaries besides a minor child creates a WA basic revocable trust for the purpose of avoiding probate, is it really necessary to register the trust per RCW 11.98.005?  Alternatively, if the same couple creates a CA revocable trust that later is amended with situs in WA, should that trust be registered in WA?
