[WSBAPT] Estate Funding a Special Needs Trust

Listmates,

Competent Heir wishes to have his distribution from Estate disbursed to SNT.  Can he create his own self-settled SNT, which could receive the distribution.  Or, do we need to have the court approve the SNT and then make the distribution?
