Dear listmates,

I have a client whose partner has dementia and the client is taking over the partner's financial affairs as agent for financial matters. I am assisting my client in revising her own estate plan to anticipate the care of her partner after the client's death or incapacity. Is someone willing to chat with me about how to best help this couple? One of the snags is the partner's durable power of attorney does not name a successor agent.
