[WSBAPT] Trust for Home only for privacy?

Good morning,

This is an interesting thread as I am sure many of us who deal with challenging personalities have had related concerns at some time or another. I would be curious to know who would serve as Trustee. Presumably, client would not want to give up control to third party. The other idea I had was to put the property into an LLC, but not sure what tax consequences would be???

Warmest regards,

Sarah:

Give me a call later this afternoon or tomorrow. I have a client I did this for. He’s on a list (can’t remember the name of it) where the state provides him with anonymity because of concerns his family wishes to harm him.

The key is the trustee.

I don’t think the trust portion is so complicated, but I’m wondering about the other mechanics of naming a trustee (I believe that would show up in records searches- so does he need to name a non family member or professional trustee), dealing with mortgage and insurance company issues, tax issues, anything else I am not thinking of?
