[WSBAPT] Extra probate costs benefiting one beneficiary

Listmates,

What's your take on whether extra costs to the estate can be charged against
the share of the beneficiary who causes the estate to incur them? I have an
estate where one beneficiary wants to keep several large items and I will
need to oversee the removal of the items from the home. The items would not
otherwise be removed, so it is purely for this beneficiary that the estate
will be charged for several extra hours of my time.

Should this cost simply be spread among all the beneficiaries (none of whom
are receiving any items from the home)? That doesn't seem fair. What is
your general practice when this type of issue comes up?

Thanks in advance for your wisdom,

Sara
