[WSBAPT] Question re: Estate Bank Account

I have had the PR write a letter appointing someone as agent for the purpose
of opening a bank account and it has worked.  It was however a local bank -
Cashmere Valley Bank which is headquartered in Wenatchee.

Hi listmates. I would appreciate some assistance here on a probate.

 

PR is not a U.S. citizen, and does not reside in the U.S. There's a WA
resident agent. We'd like to open up an estate bank account, having the
resident agent do it because the PR isn't here. We've approached several
banks, and no bank will open up the account unless the PR personally comes
in to do it. 

 

Have any of you ever dealt with this situation? If so, were you able to find
a bank that would open up the account? Which bank? PR is, obviously, happy
to sign whatever is needed. She just doesn't want to travel to the United
States for the sole purpose of opening the account.
