[WSBAPT] Child Support Lien on Inheritance-Notice? Procedure

I have the same issue although we can't find the father of the child, mom and dad are to share inheritance for wrongful death of child.  Then, DCS sends me a lien for $8k against the father on behalf of the mother.  I knew it couldn't be a creditor's claim because it is not the child's debt.  It is the father's debt to the mother.

Any procedural help would be appreciated.

I have an estate where one beneficiary owes child support to the State for foster care of her children. I have a Notice of Lien from DCS. We are ready to distribute in a non-intervention probate. Do I need to give the beneficiary Notice that we are paying the lien that has been filed in the probate?

Has anyone ever paid one of these liens and do you know the procedure with DCS?
