In WA we have this system of confidential intermediaries.
RCW 26.33.343  Search for birth parent or adopted child—Confidential intermediary.

This is from Iowa: Accessing Adoption Records - https://dhs.iowa.gov/adoption-records
It seems like a good starting place since it is state info and not someone selling help.

I have a client who was adopted and is interested in tracking down her birth parents and biological siblings.  Can anyone recommend a company that might be able to assist in something like that?  She was born in 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa.
