Learned Colleagues-

I have a probate with a surviving spouse who is incapacitated (though no
guardianship is in place), and I have a GAL appointed to represent her
interest in the probate (RCW 11.76.080). The surviving spouse has assets.

For the GAL's fee, would it be appropriate to have that be the
responsibility of the incapacitated spouse's estate or the estate of the
decedent? And, if appropriate for the surviving spouse's estate pay the
GAL's fee, would a judge in the probate proceeding be able to order that?
