I mentioned to you at lunch Monday the unhappy saga of my book.  I was called by the publisher's order department on the 12th and encouraged to order a first 200 of my books.  I said I wanted to wait until I have seen the finished product.  She said she would put the order on HOLD until the author copy I was to receive is approved by me.  One hour after that conversation, I went online and there is a $3,843.62 and I have had three calls from people across the country that they ordered and received a copy of my book in its inferior form.  I e-mailed the publisher this morning telling them to pull all books from public view, that I will not have an inferior product with my name on it on the market.  This whole self publishing effort has been a fiasco.  Now, I feel that I was lied to, I am furious and ask you if you know of a good literary attorney close by who I can call for advice so I know my rights in this matter before I sever the relationship with this publisher.  Can you refer me to someone?
