I think you want everything reviewed and executed at least 90 days before
wedding to avoid any later challenges to validity.

 

Wife could presumably have stateside counsel review before she arrives.

 

Nearest US Consulate usually has list of local American notaries.

Colleagues,

First of all, Happy Holidays, and thank you for all of your help over the
years.  Here's my present situation:  

I have never had clients seeking a prenuptial agreement who lived out of the
country, in this case South Korea.  I am wondering about problems getting
documents with valid notarization in South Korea and the ability of the wife
to get independent counsel.  They will be getting married here in San Juan
County in July and would be moving to Singapore in August.  I am wondering
if it is would just be wiser for them to seek independent counsel (the
husband would retain me) when they are here and execute documents
sufficiently in advance of their wedding.  Your thoughts would be most
appreciated.
