Consider having her revoke the previous POA and execute a new one rather than pursuing guardianship. This allows her more control than having a guardian appointed, as she can select her agent rather than a GAL selecting a guardian. I would move quickly before the nursing home petitions for guardianship. If she is competent to tell her story and is able to make decisions, she probably has capacity to revoke and execute POAs.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
A friend of a friend needs some help.

She signed a power of attorney to her daughter who now appears to have taken all her money and has listed her home for sale.
She had a stroke and is in an adult family home in Edmonds.  She appears to be able to make decisions but   Her daughter has stopped paying her bills and the adult family home isn't getting paid.  She needs a guardian appointed who can assist with revoking the power of attorney.  She doesn't know what happened to all her things from her home.
