            The creditor is limited by jurisdictional issues as to where they may file their claim.  They are also subject to that jurisdictions rule's, creditor claim limits, statute of limitations, etc. of the jurisdiction in which they may file their claim.  For instance, an ancillary probate in Washington is treated exactly like any other probate in Washington.  While I am not an expert in conflicts of laws, usually an ancillary probate is because of real property located in the foreign state, which gives rise to in rem jurisdiction, but not necessarily in personam jurisdiction.   So, I could not file a probate claim on a contract in Montana just because the decedent owned property there.

If probate occurs in multiple states due to real property located in each, do creditors get the benefit of the latest/longest creditor claim period, or does the state of domicile control this, or something else entirely.
