He doesn’t remember the details, but he thinks he got a deferred sentence and never heard about it again.  He got a lot of speeding tickets (why his license got suspended in the first place) and eventually got his license back.

Was he convicted of it?  Or was it never prosecuted?  If not prosecuted, you could ask that it be dismissed because of his right to a speedy trial.  If he was convicted of it, then he could possibly get his record expunged.  I don't do that, but I know there are attorneys that do.  There is one in Clark County who specifically lists that as a service.  His name is Bjorn Hess and his number is (360)834-7957 and his email is bjorn at camaslaw.com<mailto:bjorn at camaslaw.com>. I am sure there are some people closer to you that do the same.  Good luck!!

A family member was busted at age 19 for driving with a suspended license with a keg of beer in the car.  This was in 1975 and he has much better judgment now.  Just recently, he was on a cruise in Canada, and coming back into the US he was taken off the ship by border control because of this offense.  They let him go, of course, and he has managed to find a case number (Thurston County District Court), but they don’t tell him how to clear it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for someone to help him clear it?  Or, if it isn’t hard, maybe I can do it.  Thanks.
