Tom,

Agreed, and I have explained that to them as well. For example, if they are
both in critical condition at the hospital and one dies and it is unclear
to the hospital who takes over for the other spouse, that can be
problematic. Same as with banks and other financial institutions.

Thanks, good to know others find this complicated and advise against it as
well.
