Dear Listmates:

If you give a notice to creditor to a creditor, who subsequently sends the debt to collection, do you have to send a 2nd notice to creditor to the collection agent when you receive a statement from the collection agent prior to the expiration date of the creditor claim period? I would think not, as it is not a new debt. How do you handle these situation?

Timing wise, creditor received Notice in February, in April, we received a statement from the collection agency, and the claim period ends in June.
