[WSBAPT] estate tax irs review

is there a statue or reg. limiting the time within which the irs can audit if this form is filed?  I don't see that in the instructions.

There used to be and maybe still is a process (form to file) that requires the IRS to review estate tax returns within 18 months of filing.  Please tell me the code or cfr section that provides that; and whether any of  you have found it useful or dangerous.
