[WSBAPT] PR dies mid-probate

Good morning,

I have an intestate administration in mid-stream, and PR (Administrator) unexpectedly died. The creditor claims period has run, and there is one creditor claim filed and served. The PR was the only heir and had already transferred the assets to herself, intending to pay the Claim.

Surviving heirs are not interested in petitioning to step in as PR (state they don’t have the $$ to do so) and want to let it administratively close due to inattention. I assume the creditor can step in, if they wish, to serve as successor PR.

What is my responsibility at this stage now that my PR client is deceased?

Regards,
