Just an fyi - I recently served as POA for a woman who went on hospice and Providence Hospice provided the service. Because this woman had no family, I had to work closely with hospice regarding her care, right through death. I am sorry to hear of the incident that Sheila Ridgway just described. At the same time, I have to say that the care providers that Providence sent out were incredibly professional, medically - more than competent - and, truly responsive.

And so it seems to go!

Hello,

Just passing on information for the good of the order.  A close friend has told me about her experience with Providence Hospice with her parent's final illness.  Among other incredibly unfeeling and, most importantly, incompetent service, Providence Hospice dropped off oxygen equipment without explaining to the family how to use it.  Should be a group to avoid.
