[WSBAPT] Real estate appraisal Seattle

Dear listmates,

 

I have a probate with two homes in Seattle. No plans to sell immediately
but I want date of death values. We are sensitive to costs in this
probate. Do we need an appraisal or will a market analysis by a broker
be enough? I spoke with a CPA who said the preference is an appraisal,
but I fear the cost involved may cause the PR to balk. Any guidance will
be appreciated, including names of appraisers or brokers who could
provide the needed analysis. Thank you!
