I have also had a death certificate issued by the American Embassy/Consulate in the country where the person died.

Usually, a translated copy of a foreign death certificate will work. You would need to get it translated and notarized, I believe. I don’t think WA will issue another death certificate.

Decedent (resident of Pierce county) died while in the Phillipines. His son brought him back to the U.S. and received some type of death record from the Phillipines. Does he still need to get a death certificate issued here in WA?
