[WSBAPT] Power of Attorney Service Question

I am aware of the Scott v. Goldman case that holds that you cannot effectuate service on a power of attorney unless the POA expressly authorizes the POA to accept service. My question is what if the suit is on a contract where the POA signed as POA. I recognize the POA is not personally liable, but the POA was the one that executed the contract fbo principal. Can the POA be served with a suit against the principal in this situation even if the POA does not expressly authorize acceptance of service?
