Hi Ashley,
Yes, they will need a Korean will for their Korean property. If they have US assets, they probably also need a US will. These are usually referred to as “situs” wills – each will only applies to the property sited in that country. I assume they are both US citizens.
They also need to file US tax returns and they may need to report their foreign bank accounts to the US government.

U.S. Citizens (husband and wife) are living in Korea. He is retired military. They plan on staying in Korea and own property in Korea (no real property in the U.S.) I'm assuming they would need to see a lawyer in Korea to get their wills done? Does anyone know an estate planning attorney in Korea? They live in Islan, which I guess is about an hour from Seoul.
