[WSBAPT] Evidence Question

Amanda,
Depending on your phone it should be easy. My Galaxy S5 allows me to select a text (hold a finger on it) and a menu pops up of various possible options – including Share – select that and you can send the text to yourself (or wherever) by email. Then just print it off. But what it doesn’t do is give the date & time the actual text was sent – only when you send it to yourself by email. Maybe somebody more tech savvy than me can tell you how to include the date/time…

Amanda,
You can get a print out of the texts from the phone company.

I realize this is off topic but maybe someone will know~
How would you use text messages as evidence in Court? Does anyone know how to get the text messages off of the phone into a format that could be used? I thought about hiring a paralegal to transcribe it with dates and times but I feel like there must be some simpler way to do it.
