pursuant to a Will.

Actually, they do not take the Excise tax affidavit now but only once the
Deed is to take effect. You only pay the $72 recording fee. I do however,
have the grantor and grantee sign the affidavit and give it to the
grantee.

All deeds must be accompanied by excise tax affidavit when recorded.  The
transferee or transferee’s agent must sign that.

Where real estate is devised by will, is the personal representative’s
preparation of the transfer deed sufficient to convey title 

or must the beneficiary formally accept in writing?
