For all who are interested, here is my reply to Jodi:

Hi Jodi:

You do want to set mail delivery to “yes” even when you select digest.

On item 2, the Outlook program is being called up because it must be set as the default e-mail client on your computer. The web page just sends a command to your machine saying “hey, I want to send an e-mail - start the e-mail program that you have set as a default so that I can do that.”

You will need to reset the default program on your computer to call up the program you are using. How you do that will depend on your operating system. I recommend you google “set default e-mail program [name of operating system]” and you should find instructions on what to do.

This should have no impact on your getting and viewing messages.

Cheers,

Doug

Good Morning Doug,

I've got two questions. First, if I set my preferences to digest, should I set preferences to allow mail or not? That wasn't very clear to me.

Second, and in my opinion more important, when I went to the section listserve page to send an email, the option came up for Outlook. I don't use Outlook at all on my computers. How do I get around that? Otherwise, I will not be able to see the listserve. Probably not good.

Thanks.

Jodi

The Lists have been moved to our new host. You can now manage certain aspects of your own account.

Each user has been assigned an a temporary password. As a first step you will need to retrieve this password to access and manage your account. To access the account management page for your list, go to the following sites:

The real property account management page is http://mailman.fsr.com/mailman/options/wsbarp

The probate & trust account management page is http://mailman.fsr.com/mailman/options/wsbapt

In the e-mail box in the top section, enter the e-mail address that you used to subscribe to the list. Then click on the "remind" button in the "password reminder" box at the bottom of the page. Your temporary password will be e-mailed to you.

Once you receive your temporary password, log into your account using the temporary password. You can now manage your account. We strongly recommend that you change your password as a first task.

For general instructions go to the RPPT Listserv web page at http://www.wsbarppt.com/listserv.htm.

Cheers!
