John, I also have an office suite available for a couple of  attorneys and
staff,  if you or anyone else wants to move to Paradise, here in Mount
Vernon. We have a complete brochure on the space available if anyone wants
to see what is available.
For what it’s worth, both my space and Kate’s are Class A and have
parking, which is a bonus.

The Mount Vernon Post Office is directly across the street from my
building, which makes it superior to Skagit Law Group’s location (it’s
actually a very good location, too).

John (and everyone):  We have some great, newly added space in our
building, on the north end of downtown Mount Vernon, in the truly fabulous
Skagit Valley.  Lots of parking; right off the freeway.  Overhead cost
very reasonable.  Not that hugely far from Seattle/Bellevue.  We have many
clients who don’t mind coming up from King County to us, some on their way
to their second (or third) homes on the islands.

I admit I wouldn’t want the commute if it was from home to work, but many
working people here do it.  And, consider the fact that it’s hard to beat
our quality of life:  Mt. Baker, San Juans, North Cascades, nearby hikes
off Chuckanut Drive and Deception Pass, trails and bike paths galore,
limitless opportunities for boating/kayaking, tulips, rain shadow of Mt.
Olympus . . .    

I can highly recommend that you consider the possibility.  : )

After more than thirty years of practicing in Seattle, my partner Dave
Lyons and I have decided to move to downtown Bellevue when our lease
expires later this year. We may make the move as early as August, but in
no event later than the end of November. We are very interested in
discussing a sublease arrangement with one or two other attorneys with
established compatible practices. Over time this arrangement could evolve
into admission as a member of the firm. Ideally, we are looking for an
experienced attorney with an established practice in estate planning,
probate, small business transactions and tax who might eventually take
over our practices when we retire. We have had a good relationship with
one attorney subtenant, but he has decided for various reasons to remain
in downtown Seattle.
