[WSBAPT] super wills

Good morning, listmates –

Is anyone out there using the “super will” provisions of RCW 11.11 to
bring nonprobate assets into a will? On its face, the statute seems to
provide a tidy way to ensure that such assets are distributed in
accordance with the will, and to avoid having to update beneficiary
designations on multiple accounts. Yet I’m not seeing these provisions
used in the model wills that I’ve come across. Are there pitfalls to using
them?

Thanks,

Sharon
