Listmates:

My partner Dave Lyons and I are hoisting anchor and moving to the Eastside
when our downtown Seattle lease expires later this year. We anticipate
making the move no later than December. We're looking forward to cutting
our commutes in half and our new digs. We have room for one more plus a
paralegal. Ideally, we would like to start out subletting to an attorney
with a complimentary practice (estate planning, probate, tax, business
transactions) who might be interested in coming in with us and eventually
taking over our practices (still more than a few years down the road).

DOWNTOWN BELLEVUE ATTORNEY OFFICE SPACE AVAILABLE.

Furnished 10' x 12' office with floor to ceiling windows: $2,000.00/month.
Adjacent paralegal/secretarial station available for additional fee.
Includes one parking spot (additional spaces available for a fee), staffed
reception, shared conference room, internet, phone system and access to
copier/fax and kitchen. Contact Bridgette at bknoll at dljslaw.com.

Or you can contact me directly.

Best regards,

Subject: RE: [WSBAPT] Rescission of community property agreement

A word of caution . . . . too often I have seen three prong CPAs
purportedly rescinded in their entirety when the intention is to only
cancel the transfer on death prong. If the rescission document simply
says the CPA is rescinded, what does that mean as to the status of the
property? Does its status revert to what it was just before the CPA was
signed? Do we just assume the couple only intended to rescind the
survivorship provision? Unless the clients just love to see lawyers paid
unnecessarily down the road, always be sure the rescission document says
something explicit about what the parties intend concerning the character
of the property.

Subject: [WSBARP] Rescission of community property agreement

I need to rescind a Washington 3-prong community property agreement which
is causing unintended consequences. If anyone has a rescission agreement
they would be willing to share it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan Clawson
