[WSBAPT] expiring Letters? (Pierce County)

Has anyone ever seen Letters issued that had an expiration date?

Pierce County Local Special Proceeding Rule 98.04(g) says, if a PR changes
her/his name, the PR needs to get an order and file an oath under the new
name in order to get new Letters. Then it says, "The expiration date of
the letters shall remain the same unless changed by the new order."

Huh? I have seen Guardianship letters that expire 90 days after deadline
for an annual report, but never letters in an estate. Can someone fill me
in on what I'm missing?

Sincerely,

Eric C. Nelsen
