[WSBAPT] Proof of Wills / Witnesses

Wow, I should know this: If the witnesses’ statements on a Will are not
notarized, and either before or after the death of the testator/trix, the
witnesses provide proof of execution of the Will pursuant to RCW
11.20.020(2), do the attesting witnesses literally have to “make an
affidavit” or can their proof be in the form of a Declaration? Has anyone
had any problems providing proof in the form of a Declaration rather than
the literal requirement set out in the statute that requires them to “make
an affidavit”? I have used the Declaration format in the past but just
noted the “affidavit” requirement.
