Someone previously suggested the family allowance provisions (with or
without a probate, as I recall) so it is prior to all creditor claims
(except the gov, of course).

Subject: [WSBAPT] Credit Card Solutions
Good morning all –
I have a new client whose husband of 30+ years recently passed away. They
were married, living together, and not in the process of divorce. They
had no estate planning – i.e., no community or separate property
agreements, no wills, etc. She has now discovered that he had a credit
card in his own name with an outstanding balance of $35,000. Any thoughts
on how to handle this other than sending them a Notice to Creditors and
forcing them to file a creditor claim?
Thanks in advance –
