[WSBAPT] Continuation of gifting plan

I have done a couple of these, with similarly small total funds involved,
where there was simply an outright gift to a trusted beneficiary of an
amount sufficient for that beneficiary to continue the sponsorship and
language “requesting, but not requiring” that such sponsorship continue
through these gifted funds. That way, the estate can be settled, the
trusted beneficiary can take advantage of any charitable deductions.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Continuation of gifting plan

Esteemed colleagues,

Client sponsors a child through World Vision, and wants to ensure
sponsorship continues after client’s death, until the child’s sponsorship
terminates. Monthly donations of $50 may continue for up to ten years
after client’s death, so total allocated for this purpose will be around
$6,000. Is there a better way to structure this in client’s will other
than through a testamentary trust? Any undistributed amount allocated for
this purpose goes to a beneficiary other than the sponsored child.
