Real Property Mavens:

Anyone have a partition complaint or template for the same they are
willing to share? I drafted one, and looked in Washington Practice and
the WSBA Deskbook for a template to check my work, but could not find
anything. Even my old standby, solves-all-problems legal research tool
(Google search!) got me nowhere. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank
you! Kevin

Subject: Re: [WSBAPT] Primary Home and Creditors of Estate

Thank you everyone for your input and suggestions. Sometimes getting the
confirmation that I am moving in the right direction is amazingly
assuring. Unfortunately, what I don't see is that, other by petition for
additional award, there are no protections for a homestead in WA beyond
the statutory $125k. I am not so sure this is acceptable as I cannot
imagine that my client is the only one that has all their eggs in the
home... we protect retirement money and LI beyond someone's place to live,
I would suggest that is socially unacceptable to mandate a widow's home is
sold to account to creditors (specifically after just loosing a loved one,
and often times a spouse of many, many years). I feel the social justice
side of me rising up!

Thanks again.
