font-size: medium; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(20, 20, 20);">In pain from ulcers in both eyes, the kitten was kept in intensive care, undergoing surgery to remove one eye and to attempt to save the other.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 9pt; font-size: medium; font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(20, 20, 20);">The kitten was given a plasma transfusion from a dog called Bruno – hence his adopted name – but sadly his remaining eye could not be saved.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(20, 20, 20); background-color: white;">Subsequently blind but no longer in pain and otherwise healthy, putting Bruno to sleep was out of the question.</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;
