I had a ‘56 Hobie surfboard back then. While hitchhiking through Topanga Canyon, it was fairly common to see road signs advertising who had the best marijuana or the best acid (LSD) for sale. Yep, they had their own concept of “farmers market”.</div><div><br></div><div>Between that and the people of San Francisco (back in ‘77) who sat on the curb outside the Moonshiner Tavern . . . toke up a joint . . . wave at the passing SFPD patrol cars (whose occupants waved back), I have but one thing to say . . .</div><div><br></div><div><b><i><u>Ah, California.
