I believe Bill Lambert is a good and competent mayor except for his total lack of judgement on the value of the Third street bridge. The mayor and his holdover cabal of councilors became enamored with a 25-year-old plan for a bridge over paradise creek. Like Trump's wall, its time has passed, and like the bridge to nowhere, Third Street will end nowhere.</div><div><br></div><div>I believe there will be no significant reduction in cost on a rebid. Here we sit with a project that is past due and over budget. Let's take the money from this project and resurface more streets. I know that I enjoy having a smooth ride on the streets that have been done this spring.
