<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body dir="auto">Courtesy of today’s (January 30, 2018) Lewiston Tribune with thanks to Joann Muneta.<div><br></div><div>———————————————</div><div><br></div><div><div><b>Enhances pedestrian safety</b></div><div><br></div><div>On Jan. 23, Lewiston Tribune published an article headlined "State may come to Moscow's rescue," followed by the subhead " 'Surplus eliminator' budget program could help with Third Street bridge project"</div><div><br></div><div>This incorrectly makes it sound as though state dollars will be forthcoming to help with Moscow's $580,000 budget to build a vehicle bridge on Third Street over Paradise Creek.</div><div><br></div><div>Actually, the $250,000 - if it is received - is not for the bridge program at all, but for safety issues needed to be addressed, whether or not the bridge is built.</div><div><br></div><div>The sidewalks and crosswalks projected are for pedestrian safety, not for the bridge.
