<p>If the Republicans hope to retain the results of their electoral
success they must have the wisdom and courage to discipline the
failures of the executive branch even from within the mire of
their legislative failures. Were Trump an employee in any
organization other than his own, he would have failed his
six-month probationary period, and now be seeking other
employment. His personal policy choices, his personal personnel
choices, his inability to integrate himself successfully within
the rest of the governmental structures, and his lack of interest
and self-education in governance in place of narcissistic
exhibitionism have lowered his place in presidential rankings past
the point where his continued presidency is a national security
concern.</p>
<p>The credibility of the Republican Party rests on its ability, or
lack thereof, to control and to discipline Mr. Trump. If it is
revealed that his, and his colleagues', relations with Moscow (the
one in Russia) form a bigger swamp than the one in Washington (the
one in the District of Columbia) that is the result of a morass of
financial interconnections, the substance of which were not
intended for naive eyes, then Mr. Trump must be impeached.
Whether the Republicans will accomplish that to their credit, or
the Democrats will be required to do it after their impending
return to power, is clearly an existential question for the Greedy
Obstreperous Patriarchs.</p>

<div>Washington (CNN)The US detected a
ballistic missile launch out of North
Korea at approximately 10:45 am eastern
time on Friday, the Pentagon confirmed
to CNN.</div>

<div>They are assessing the launch and
will have more soon.</div>

<div>Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
told Japanese broadcaster NHK: "I have
received the first report that North
Korea again launched a missile and it
possibly landed inside the exclusive
economic zone."</div>

<div>Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary
Yoshihide Suga said the missile launched
by North Korea possibly flew for
approximately 45 minutes.</div>

</div>
<div>Suga told reporters there is no
damage to any vessel or aircraft --
adding that the missile is believed to
have fallen in Japan's exclusive
economic zone.</div>

<div>South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff
have also confirmed that North Korea
fired an unidentified missile.</div>

<div>The Pentagon is still working to
assess the type of ballistic missile
that was launched -- the ongoing
assessment from the US intelligence
community in recent months has been that
North Korea has accelerated its
intercontinental range ballistic missile
program.</div>

<div>The US believes that North Korea will
be able to launch a reliable
nuclear-capable intercontinental
ballistic missile (ICBM) by early 2018,
a US official familiar with the latest
intelligence assessment confirmed to CNN
Wednesday.</div>

years from previous estimates that put
Pyongyang three to five years from fully
developing long-range missile
capabilities.</div>
