<div dir="ltr">Dear Visionaries:<div><br></div><div>Yes, the feature article in the Reader was excellent, well researched, and accurate. The only thing that I would add would be that Wilson's theology has been rejected by the most conservative Southern Presbyterian denomination in the US. At an annual meeting several years his "Federalist Vision" was rejected by a huge majority.</div><div><br></div><div>Most of my articles on Wilson have appeared in the Sandpoint Reader over the years. I was a biweekly columnist in its first incarnation and resumed that post a year ago after it resumed publication. </div><div><br></div><div>The editors of the Reader fought valiantly for a City Council resolution supporting refugees after the Bonner County commissioners voted to keep them out. County people packed every session of the City Council shouting down supporters and threatening Council members, who eventually withdrew the resolution. “Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed immaturity.
Immaturity is the inability to use one’s understanding without guidance
from another. This immaturity is self- imposed when its cause lies not
in lack of understanding, but in lack of resolve and courage to use it
without guidance from another. Sapere Aude! ‘Have courage to use your
own understand-ing!—that is the motto of enlightenment.<br>
