<p class="MsoNormal"><b>City of Moscow Congratulates Moscow Volunteer Fire Department Graduates<o:p></o:p></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>April 23, 2015 (Moscow, Idaho)<a name="OLE_LINK4"></a><a name="OLE_LINK3"></a> —</b> The City of Moscow is excited and proud to congratulate the 2015 – Class 1 Moscow Volunteer Fire Department graduates. The
Department is one of the first in the State of Idaho to combine an International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) certification class for level I and II firefighters. Typically, the course has been taught in series, with Firefighter I preceding
the Firefighter II certification. The critical importance of combining the courses is to provide an opportunity for the volunteers to achieve a higher level of training in a shorter amount of time.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The combined course includes 240 hours of training consisting of both classroom instruction and demonstration, hands on training, practical skills practice and testing. The Academy Class ran from January 13, 2015
through April 9, 2015 and was held two days a week and over the course of five weekends. The course consists of classes such as Firefighter Health and Safety, Building Construction, Fire Behavior, Loss Control, and Live Fire training and more.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The IFSAC certification is administered by the Fire Service Training Center for the State of Idaho. Attending this course and upon successful completion of the written and practical skills testing each member
is certified to a minimum level of training in the fire service and which is recognized by most states in the country. This minimum training assists in the safety of fire personnel when responding to incidents and provides volunteers with more in-depth knowledge
and training on the latest in standards, techniques, and training. Safety is the most critical component of the program.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The graduation ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Fire Station 2, 1300 White Avenue, Moscow, Idaho and is open to the public. For more information on the training program and the Moscow Volunteer
