Yesterday's first e-mail from the University of Idaho's Office of
the President announcing the appointment of John M. Weincek as
Provost and Executive Vice President began</font><br>
<br>
Bacon ipsum dolor sit amet sausage turducken prosciutto pork venison
filet mignon swine fatback.<br>
<br>
<font size="+1">and included a suggested e-mail address of
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:noreply@uidaho.edu">noreply@uidaho.edu</a> in the message heading.<br>
<br>
The first e-mail was followed nine minutes later with another one
amended to replace the Bacon ipsum line with<br>

Announced<br>

<font size="+1">but retained the noreply e-mail address, and omitted
an illustrative photograph of the appointee.<br>
<br>
Since inquiring minds want to know, I typed John M. Weincek into
Google's Image Search interface, and received many responses, two
of which were: <br>

showing him as he appeared in an interim provost position in
Virginia, and a page showing him as he appeared when he won a

Whether his change of the side of his hair part has any cause of
interesting substance, or only a random one of idle speculation,
such as an inter-generational virus vectored through Jimmy Carter,
may be a matter for the future to reveal. Or not, since it was just
Friday the thirteenth.<br>
