Pam Brunsfeld: "Fun Facts about Plants." Pam is Manager and Curator of the University of Idaho Stillinger Herbarium's vascular collection, and teaches Systematic Botany at UI. We've enjoyed Pam's field trips over the years, and her workshops on identifying penstemons. Her Jan. 8 program will kick off the year with a lighthearted yet educational approach to plants. Pamela Pavek will give a presentation on native pollinators. Pamela is an agronomist with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, and explained native versus invasive roses to our group this past year. Dr. David Tank: "Natural history collections in the 21st century: an update on activities in the Stillinger Herbarium and how you can get involved." Dr. Tank is Associate Professor of biology and Director of the University of Idaho Stillinger Herbarium, and is also involved with the Consortium of Pacific Northwest Herbaria.
