Patterson approached the animal, saying he wanted to pet it and get a picture with it, according to court documents. </span></p><p style="margin-bottom: 21px;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The officer asked Patterson to stop, and a scuffle broke out.
