The government (we the people) have already implemented welfare programs, food stamps, subsidized housing, subsidized Obamacare, public schools, lunch school programs, job training, etc. Further, there are a myriad of private and/or 501c3 organizations that reach out and assist the poor.<br><br>Admit we just don't want to [help the poor]? Hardly. It's been proven time and time again those who are poor and win the lottery, go back to being poor. And those who are rich and lose everything in a financial catastrophe, eventually go back to being rich. 'Give a man a fish and your feed him for a day; teach a man to fish...'.
