style="">I don't self-identify as liberal, and I'm certainly not a "Christophobe," however Joe Long (Letters to the Editor, Feb. 27) and I share a particularity about where we shop. I don't support businesses whose owners defend Young Earth Creationism, practice patriarchy, celebrate the antebellum Confederacy, sponsor a one-week course in biblical counseling predicated on the crazy notion that sin is the cause of mental illness and financially support a pastor who mimics a disturbed junior high bully by routinely directing insults and slurs at the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community members (see: "Circumlocutions and Faggotré").</span></div><div style="outline:0px;margin:10px 0px 0px;padding:0px;background-image:none;float:none;"><span style="">Nonetheless, this letter is not directed to members and leaders of Christ Church, but rather, the local "liberals" who justify their silence and rationalize their interactions with the Kirk as
"building bridges." Devout members of the Kirk are cultists who understand and use nonmembers as a means to an end: money, votes, social access, etc. Thanks to the help of these thick as a plank liberals, our community is inching toward the completion of Doug Wilson's goal - a town shaped and directed through his vision of the City on the Hill. And, it won't be the friendly paradise envisioned by our local fellow travelers.</span></div><div class="yiv6962002721encrypted-content" style="outline:0px;margin:0px;padding:0px;float:none;"><div style="outline:0px;margin:10px 0px 0px;padding:0px;background-image:none;float:none;"><span style="">I rarely find Ayn Rand on target, but she was absolutely correct when she wrote: "The spread of evil is the symptom of a vacuum. Whenever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no compromise on basic principles."</span></div></div><div
