In all seriousness, about five years ago, something happened to my lungs. I can't be in the vicinity of any kind of smoke.. campfire, chimney smoke, cigarette smoke.. etc.. when we have dust storms down here, I am stuck in the house. Instantly, I am in respiratory distress. It doesn't seem logical that secondary marijuana smoke would be much of a problem for people in a public venue, or, would it be? Smoking cigarettes isn't allowed, why would smoking a pipe of marijuana be allowed? <br>
<br></div>My train of thought... if we, meaning the growers in Colorado, and Washington are growing marijuana, I would imagine the product would be less likely to have angel dust, and whatever else is put on the product before it comes to the US. <br>
<br></div>There are 100 chemicals added to tobacco.. some for the specific purpose to cause addiction. Ammonia is added. AMMONIA!!! For pity sakes, no wonder people get cancer!!! <br><div><div><br></div><div>The first time I was exposed to marijuana was in 6th grade.. exposed meaning, knowing what it was, seeing it.. smelling it... since that time, some 45 years ago, I've never seen a pothead beat his wife senseless... working in a hospital, I've witnessed the result of drunks beating people, killing them even.. Potheads are not violent people.. Mix something with the pot, and yes, the potential is there.. the only "problem" I see with marijuana is the lack of drive and ambition in a heavy user.. but, the same can be said about people addicted to the internet. <br>
<br></div><div>Hope my ramble is clearer than mud. *sigh~laugh* Lately, I've been having a time with logic interpretation of my thoughts. A serious request..  If there is anyone here who can help me interpret what I am supposed to do regarding the Affordable Care Act? If so,  a private conversation would be much appreciated. I have Cobra until the end of July, and don't know when I am to apply, and don't want to apply now, and do something incorrect in the application process, and sign up too soon, and lose my good insurance.<br>

      Sorry, life intervened there for a bit.  Yes, I was speaking of
      smoke inhalation of any type.  I'm all for recreational use of
      marijuana (though I'm not interested in it myself), but I don't
      want people to make it into some kind of wonder drug that will
      never harm you but will allow you to ace your math tests and feed
      your cats or whatever claims are being made about it.  There are
      very likely long-term side-effects of inhaling smoke regularly,
      and I think people should go into it with their eyes open.<br>

      Also, what do we do about all the people that are in jail because

                to mean inhaling smoke – of any kind, not just from
                marijuana – is likely dangerous on some level.  And,
                while I’ve not looked up all kinds of smoke, that’s
                something I think I’d agree with, although it’s likely a
                matter of degree.  Certainly, tobacco smoke is widely
                recognized to contain carcinogens, but it’s also thought
                that there are carcinogens in other types of smokes
                (forest fires, wood stoves, industry, etc.),
                particularly with extended exposure.  At least, that’s
                my understanding.</span></p>

                                          Denver Broncos will win
                                          today's National Football
                                          League conference championship
                                          games, advancing to a truly
                                          historic Super Bowl on Feb. 2:</span></p>

                                          Marijuana Bowl? A return of
                                          the Bud Bowl?</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">The
                                          teams represent the biggest
                                          cities in Colorado and
                                          Washington, the only states
                                          that have legalized the sale
                                          of recreational marijuana.</span></p>

                                          media a fresh story hook for

                                          backers are tickled.</span></p>

                                          something that those of us in
                                          the movement have had an eye
                                          on for a long time," said
                                          Steve Fox, who works for a
                                          marijuana-industry law firm

                                          the matchup does materialize,
                                          said Allen St. Pierre, the
                                          executive director of the
                                          National Organization for the
                                          Reform of Marijuana Laws, it

                                          pro-cannabis- legalization
                                          cities in the U.S." He
                                          jokingly suggested that the
                                          game be renamed "The Super
                                          Oobie Doobie Bowl."</span></p>

                                          is a more serious side to
                                          all this.</span></p>

                                          Jan. 1, when Colorado opened
                                          its retail pot shops, it's
                                          been legal to purchase and use
                                          the drug, at least under state
                                          law. But it's still illegal
                                          for NFL players who live in
                                          the state to use marijuana
                                          because it's banned under the
                                          league's collective bargaining
                                          agreement. That will be true
                                          in Washington, as well, when
                                          the state opens its own shops
                                          this spring.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">Lobbyists
                                          are pushing the NFL to stop
                                          punishing players who fail
                                          drug tests for smoking pot,
                                          saying the drug could help
                                          them deal with concussions and
                                          other injuries.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">And
                                          they want to call attention to
                                          the league's cozy relationship
                                          with the alcohol industry:
                                          Anheuser-Busch, for example,
                                          pitches its Bud Light as the
                                          "proud sponsor of the NFL" and
                                          once aired ads showing
                                          Budweiser and Bud Light beer
                                          bottles competing in a
                                          halftime "Bud Bowl"
                                          football game.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">"Hopefully
                                          there will be a break in the
                                          beer commercials for some
                                          discussion about marijuana
                                          laws," said Mason Tvert,
                                          spokesman for the
                                          pro-legalization Marijuana
                                          Policy Project in Denver.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">In
                                          September, the organization
                                          put up a 48-foot-wide
                                          billboard next to Denver's
                                          Sports Authority Field at Mile
                                          High, urging the NFL to "stop
                                          driving players to drink" and
                                          saying that pot represented "a
                                          safer choice" for the
                                          athletes. And the group
                                          launched a petition to
                                          pressure NFL Commissioner
                                          Roger Goodell to change the
                                          league's marijuana policy.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">Fox,
                                          the marijuana industry lawyer,
                                          pointed out that the Broncos
                                          and Seahawks both lost key
                                          players this season for
                                          violating the NFL drug policy,
                                          reportedly because of
                                          marijuana use.</span></p>
                                      <p style="overflow:visible"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"">He
                                          said the NFL should follow the
                                          National Hockey League, which
                                          tests only for
                                          performance-enhancing drugs.</span></p>

                                          he noted that the World
                                          Anti-Doping Agency responded
                                          to more lax drug laws in many
                                          countries last summer by
                                          loosening the marijuana

                                          caused a stir last week during

                                          to use medical marijuana in
                                          the future.</span></p>

                                          the commissioner even talking
                                          about marijuana during the
                                          playoffs, St. Pierre said the
                                          public could expect to hear
                                          plenty about pot in the next
                                          two weeks, even if Seattle and
                                          Denver don't win their games.</span></p>

                                          the visiting teams in Sunday's
                                          games - the San Francisco
                                          49ers will travel to Seattle,

                                          regions of the country where
                                          marijuana use is allowed for
                                          medical purposes.</span></p>

                                          the Super Bowl that haven't
