These are payments to health care providers (Drs. and hospitals) for indigent patients. What might the payment be in 2020? A lot more than the cost of Medicaid expansion ($47 million)! It's unfortunate that the ideology of the majority party will end up costing the taxpayers, health care providers and hospitals of Idaho a bundle, particularly when they usually have their hands out for more Federal funds.
