But the point is WHY are "progressives" clued in to a particular "narrative"? Because IF you are black and kill someone who is white, there is a hell of a lot better chance that you will go to jail than if you are white (or Latino) and kill someone who is black.<br>

You keep making it seem as if "progressives" and "liberals" are making stuff up. They are not. Do some research. Folks are upset about the Zimmerman verdict for good reason, and not just because he was reckless. We don't see race in other cases -- like the Christopher Lane case -- because likely (as in this case) there just isn't any race issue or because the examples of "racism" against whites pales in comparison to examples of racism against blacks. Some of us think it is a big deal because it is a big deal.<br>
