<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div>@Joe,<br><br></div>Of course the whole issue and what it indicates and entails is much more complicated. Surveillance of the kind at issue without responsible and accountable judicial oversight plus secrecy laws preventing the abuses of this surveillance being examined among other things such as a really, really contorted interpretation of the Fourth Amendment indicates gross arrogance of all those willingly participating.<br>
<br></div>Most of us understand what is at stake, but the disallowing of judicial oversight combined with targeting millions and millions for whom there is not probable cause or even articulatable suspicion seems an unwarranted intrusion into personal liberty.<br>
<br></div>No one with mental facilities intact would accuse me of being a Tea Party member. But long experience has shown me that there are LE personnel and similar types inand outside of government whose honesty, integrity, and objectively do no meet the minimum standard. Hence, I do not trust what they say about what data is being collected, how it is being used, or how safe it is from hacking, intentional leaks, or other noxious uses. I wonder if the President or the legislature is being told the whole truth.<br>
